Originally this was a way to preserve music in Alaska. Now I’m hoping this site can tie together new artists with those who played loud and help guide what comes next.
I’ve always been fascinated by the people who made music around me in Alaska. The artists I listened to, the bands I saw, the records I bought, and the friends I made over art. We’re distant from the rest of the world up here, and the community music gave me is something I want to share, preserve, and pass on—to inspire kids to hold shows in their school gyms, ask their churches if they can make demonic screams during mass, and put 5 on it.
